Lean Excellence Student Competition

• Teams must consist of 4 students and a coach
• All team members must volunteer throughout Lean Solutions Summit
• Apply Lean tools as a team and demonstrate clear process transformation
• Most importantly: Have fun, learn, and lead the Lean way!

Student formed teams will use a catapult system to observe and collect process data. The teams will then be challenged to create the most standardized and repeatable process they can develop throughout the competition. As a team they will be working together to identify and reduce variation in a fun competitive setting! Teams will be scored on their use of the methods, the results of their catapult throws, their ability to work together as a team, and more!

• All student team members and coaches will receive complimentary tickets to the Lean Solutions Summit. In exchange, students are expected to volunteer during the  first two days of the event (September 24-25).
• Note: Lodging arrangements and associated costs are the responsibility of the participants.
